After a really bad start to the morning I've returned to the studio to listen to an album intriguingly called 'Menace to Society'. Today may have not been the best day to write a review for the band or artist but i have to say if anything was going to cheer me up it had to be this album. You'll already see that i have rated it 5/5 and is the first band to have achieved this on the topoftheox site by any reviewer.

The album written by Anthony Charman is a masterpiece for those listeners who want to hear a kind of fusion between Mark Bowlan, Bob Dylan and very early Van Morrison. It's highly creative and goes against the grain of much of the music you'll hear in the charts. Confidently executed with bags of feeling.

It's probably realistic to think you are either going to love this music or hate it but it is undeniably original and recorded in a manner that lends itself well to the style of music.

The full tracks listing is given below with the highlights of the album being 'Should've known better' and 'Bernie and Junie's summer love' with perhaps the weakest song being 'Sweet Emily', I am sure the young lady it was written for would still be delighted to have her name thrown in with the rest of the tunes on the album. Pretty much every track on the album has something to offer.

I'm going to be playing this album to all my muso friends at my first BBQ of the year in just a few weeks weather pending.

'Menace to society' is the he best thing I have heard this year. Anthony Charman, what a find!
